The second Danks boiler was removed in August 2009 and a third Hoval boiler installed, provision being made for a future fourth boiler. Other works carried out include the installation of new plate heat exchangers, upgrading of pump sets, and extension of the district heating mains, installation of variable temperature systems, unit heaters and destratification fans fitted to Gymnasium. In addition Acorn MPS were responsible for the provision, design, programming and installation of Automatic Control Systems, based on the Trend BMS system.
